CRANE OVERLOAD PROTECTION
LS LIMITLOAD units can be used on Overhead Cranes to effectively reduce the risk of overload conditions. By clamping onto a static rope the unit can sense the load and switch out at a preset level.
SR LIMITLOAD units can be used to sense when crane ropes go slack or lifting beams bottom out.
LSW & SRW LIMITLOAD units are fitted with dual sensing providing additional security & also satisfy the requirements of BS EN12077-2 & BS EN13849-2
LC LIMITLOAD units are integrated Load Cell and Amplifier and can detect both overload and slack rope conditions. They come with a digital process meter providing 4 fully programable outputs.
GRL Designs have been manufacturing LIMITLOAD crane overloads for more than 30 years providing a very reliable low-cost solutions to overload protection.
The original LS design is electo-mechanical using a Micro Switch to detect overload or slack rope conditions.
An updated LSW version is fitted with 2 synchronised switches providing additional safety and satisfying the requirements of BS EN12077-2 & BS EN13849-2.
These units simply bolt onto a static wire rope and detect the load. Units are available up to 100kN (10,200kg) load on the rope and rope diameters up to 24mm.

Recently launched is a range of LOAD CELL LC versions. These have been developed to satisfy the future market where safety monitoring is becoming more necessary. These products fit within the same envelop as the existing product range but provide multiple switching and optional outputs.
